About River Weaver - Northwich AA View About Fishery

The River Weaver is one of Cheshire's most historic and productive match fishing venues. Controlled by Northwich Anglers Association, the river hosts regular open matches, winter leagues and club competitions throughout the year.

The river is divided into several well-known sections including Blackboards, Boats, Willowbeds, Hulses Island, Newbridge, Dredger and Oak Tree. These stretches provide a variety of pegs suitable for both pleasure and match anglers.

Species include bream, skimmers, roach, perch, chub and carp, with the river regularly producing winning weights in excess of 100lb during favourable conditions.

The River Weaver remains one of the North West's premier river match venues and attracts anglers from across the region.
