Last week I fished the Friday Club Rover Match at Heronbrook Fishery, and before making my final peg choice I decided to use one of my favourite features on Match Angler UK – Peg History.
After checking the previous results, I narrowed my choice down to a few pegs before settling on Bridge Peg 5. Looking through the history, it stood out as one of the most consistent pegs with a strong run of quality weights over recent matches.
Thankfully, the research paid off!
My plan was simple: fish short, the margins, and pick up a few fish from the far bank when the opportunity arose. The peg produced steadily throughout the day, and by the end of the match I knew I had enjoyed one of my best sessions ever.
🎣 Final Weight: 174lb 1oz
🏆 Overall Position: 6th Place
⭐ New Personal Best!
This is exactly why I built Match Angler UK. Having quick access to previous match results and peg history can help you make a more informed decision before you even cast a rig. While there's never a guarantee in fishing, having the data available gives you another edge when choosing where to fish.
Tight lines!
