Friday Open at HeronBrook – Meadow Lake
Today I chose Peg 29 on Meadow at HeronBrook. It was a tricky day with the bright sunshine making the fishing hard at times, and it definitely kept the fish moving around.
I started short on pellet and managed to nick one or two early on, but it never really got going. I then went long and shallow hoping they’d come up in the water, but they just didn’t want to know today.
Later on I managed a few fish down the margins before going back short for the last few hours, this time fishing corn, which worked a bit better and kept a few bites coming.
Ended the day with 61lb — nowhere near enough to trouble the frame, but it was still a great day out in the sun catching a few fish and enjoying the session.
There were some really good weights across the other lakes at Heron Brook as well, showing the venue is still fishing well overall
